Sshhh… Recent finds

I am an input person.  I collect information. I especially love to find new, undiscovered little corners of cities: restaurants and cosy cafes that even the locals don’t know about.  I also love scouring the internet for new things.  Each week, I’ll put a few of the things I’ve found here, in the hope that someone else might also enjoy them.

6.04.2011 – This week the theme is blogs and sites to inspire and entertain. Here a few of my favourites.

6-04.2011 - Oh Joy! Fashion Blog

I just came across this very cool blog, which is all about my 3 favourite topics: design, fashion and food.

6.04.2011 – Check out Japanese Streets, one of my favourite Street Style blogs and get inspired to wear something a little more colourful and daring.

6.04.2011 - The Fashion Police is a blog for those who love but don’t follow fashion.

12.03.2011 - Restoration Hardware

Restoration Hardware is “an exceptionally well merchandised world of high quality textiles, furniture, lighting, bathware, hardware and amusements” founded almost 30 years ago with the simple aim of “surrounding ourselves with things we love.” In the past year, as other companies have lowered quality in order to lower prices, RH has ramped up the quality and design and dedicated itself as never before to working with artisans around the world who have honed their craft over many years. The site is a wonderful way to spend a few idle hours, particularly if you have a room to furnish, or are dreaming of one:

12.03.2011- Slipper booties from the White Company

A friend of mine sent me a pair of booties from The White Company for Christmas (thanks Kate!) and I have barely taken them off. They are super cosy and make you feel stylish even when you’re lounging at home wearing leggings and a t-shirt on a Sunday morning.

03.03.2011 – Petite France, Stockholm

This one isn’t that new, and most of you have probably heard of it, but for those who haven’t, Petite France is a cute little bakery/French Patisserie in Kungsholmen, Stockholm.  It gets very crowded at the weekend, so go before rush hour starts (if you’re very keen, you may wish to camp out from the time they open at 9am).

03.03.2011 – Stella and Livi

A friend of mine just designed a custom party hat for her 1-year old’s birthday from this sweet Etsy shop.  I love the personalisation and customisation possible with this kind of design project and I really loved her final design. Go Tanis!
