The difference between Belen Echandia and many other luxury companies is that we offer luxury with a genuinely personal touch, because for me personal service is the difference between whether I love it - and whether I buy it - or not. A beautiful piece can be seductive but when the designer is there to tell me the story behind it, explain about the materials and how it is designed to be worn (whether I pay attention or not) it turns something lovely into something special that I will forever cherish. The Henri Bendel Trunk Show was a sell-out. Magnus and I took to the shop floor in the fantastic New York store for two days, meeting customers and answering questions about our bags. The response was amazing . It was especially nice to meet our customers and watch one of them (pictured) abandon her own bag and walk out of the store wearing her new B.E bag instead! We even had a phone call from Georgia from one customer. Imagine my surprise when the assistant said there was someone on the Henri Bendel store telephone…for me.
